audio problem

hey i'm having a prblem i just installe da sub and amp in my sunfire the exile 1000.1 and the 12xped and it killing the power to my whole stereo at high volume but it comes on soon as the sound stops i did not install the deck could it be a problem in the wirering from vissions? in my deck harness? or am i drawing too much power for the 1000.1 amp do i need a capasator?

ok i cant find a problem with the wireing but even with the sub and amp off the deck shuts down but also the lights in the car dim down with just the deck turned up half way and then shuts down ?? im still unsure what could cause that the battery and or altenator ? any sugestions?
